F.A.Q
What is included in the nursery fees?
All meals are provided, breakfast, lunch, tea and a mid morning
and afternoon snack. We also provide cow's milk. Baby wipes are
also provided.
Do you provide the N.E.G (Nursery Education Grant)?
Yes we do, your child will be eligible for this grant the term
after their third birthday. You do not need to inform the
council, we do that for you.
Do you go on nursery outings?
The children go out on a regular basis. They go to the local
shops or just for a walk. We go to the mobile library and the
library at the Slade. The children have recently been to Oxleas
woods and Tiggers Eye in Thamesmead. Once a year we go on an
outing for the whole nursery, this year we are going to
Colchester Zoo.
Does the nursery give each child a holiday period?
No
the nursery does not. If you take your child on holiday you
would be paying the full nursery fees that would normally be
due.
Do I still have to pay if my child is off sick?
Yes full fees still have to be paid.
Do you have a waiting list?
Yes we do have a waiting list for ages of two years plus at this
present time.
What do I need to provide for my child?
You will need to provide nappies and a spare change of clothes
for your child. If your child is on breast milk or formula milk
you will also need to provide this.
Do you have an outside area?
We do have quite a large outside area, part of it is a
playground and part of it is a grassed area. We provide a range
of outdoor equipment for the children to choose from: cars,
bikes, sand, water, hoops and much more.
Do you provide any extra activities for the children?
Yes we do. We have baby massage sessions, music and movement for
the two year olds and football fitness for the three year olds.
We also have a sports day planned in July this year.
