We have recently had a
new door entry system fitted, it requires you to scan your
finger on the reader and this will allow you access to the
building without
anybody opening the door for you and without you having to ring
the door bell. Each child can have up to five persons registered
on the system. If you are not registered on the system you will
need to ring the door bell and this makes the staff more
vigilant as it is not a parent of any of the children.
We also have a password
for each child which the person collecting the child will need
to use if it is their first time collecting them. Without the
password we would not let your child go from the care of the
nursery.
Also we do not let
children ie siblings
under the age of 16 years to collect your child from nursery
without an adult present.
The nursery carries out
daily risk assessments, this
includes checking all baby gates, plug sockets, toys, equipment,
carpets, mats and chairs etc.
If there are any faults they are reported immediately and
rectified.
When recruiting staff we
carry out C.R.B checks and obtain at least two references.
Under no circumstances will any member of staff be left alone
with any child without an up to date C.R.B check. We also use
this rule for agency staff, students and visitors.
